RTCA statement on the Annapolis shooting
On behalf of the 3,000-member Radio & Television Correspondents’ Association, the Executive Committee of the RTCA expresses profound sadness over Thursday’s shooting at the Capital Gazette newsroom in Annapolis, Maryland.
The journalists who were killed & wounded were merely doing their jobs, just as they had every other day, delivering the news to the communities they serve. Our hearts go out to the victims, their family members, colleagues & friends.
The RTCA honors the memories of those who were lost, and stands ready to help and support Gazette staff any way it can.
