A Message to RTCA Members Regarding Health and Safety on Capitol Hill

The Executive Committee of Correspondents, in light of Rep. Louie Gohmert’s COVID-19 infection this week, and the several other lawmakers and support staff who have tested positive during the pandemic, would like to remind RTCA members to follow all relevant health and safety guidance on Capitol Hill – including the new mandatory mask mandate from House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

Please consider limiting your presence on Capitol Hill to essential personnel to prevent the crowding of hallways and stakeouts, particularly in situations where pooled coverage has been set up indoors and social distancing is not possible.

Please stay home if you are sick, have any symptoms related to the virus, or are concerned about having significant contact with someone who has recently tested positive.

Thank you for your cooperation,

Executive Committee of Correspondents
