RTCA Dinner and Awards Show to Shift to Biennial Schedule Beginning in 2026

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

CAPITOL HILL—November 20, 2025— The Radio and Television Correspondents’ Association (RTCA) announced today that its signature Dinner and Awards Show will return in 2026 — and, for the first time, will transition to a biennial format.

Traditionally an annual celebration, the RTCA Dinner has long honored excellence in broadcast journalism covering the U.S. Congress. Starting in 2026, the event will be held every two years, aligning with the two-year cycle of each Congress. The 2026 Dinner will recognize the outstanding work of radio and television journalists during the 119th Congress.

The RTCA Board determined that this new schedule will better reflect the rhythms of congressional coverage while continuing to provide a premier gathering for journalists, members of congress, congressional staff, and industry professionals.

The exact date of the 2026 Dinner & Awards Show will be confirmed in coordination with the Congressional calendar. Further details on sponsorship opportunities, award submissions, and ticket information will be announced in early 2026.
