Statement From Executive Committee of Correspondents on the Passing of Cokie Roberts

The Executive Committee of Correspondents mourns the loss of one its own, Cokie Roberts.  During her long and distinguished broadcasting career, Roberts also made time to serve on the Executive Committee during the 1980’s, including as chair in 1981.  Roberts understood the importance of the work of the Executive Committee in managing matters related to the credentialing of journalists, and organization of rules for coverage of Congress by broadcast journalists.

The Executive Committee values the work done by Cokie Roberts on the Executive Committee, and extends condolences to the Roberts family on her passing.
